Competition

Oye Vey, I have been consumed by this competition where the winner gets to host their own TV show. My votes have not been that high even though I have been promoting my audition tape and link. Now I am working the social network sites to garner more interest. In some ways I cannot believe I am doing this. I have never been on TV in any way. Never studied this in a school. So in essence I am flying by the seat of my pants. What keeps me going is the idea of educating people on alternatives which is really a misnomer and should be called complementary therapies. I do not advocate throwing out medical and only doing alternatives. From our experience with Kayla’s cancer, the optimum solution is to use medical and complementary together in one’s road to health. Back to the point I was making earlier, which is that I am willing to go pretty far to try and forward my message of marrying medical with complementary along with getting people to become more proactive with their bodies.
Nothing beats medical science and diagnostics. When something is found wrong with the body, all avenues of healing should be used. The complementary should be proven valid, not some witch potion that “cures.” There are so many of these on the net that are not proven, tested, or validated in any way. I ran into many of these in my quest for Kayla and it was really upsetting when a site offered items for lots of money with nothing to really back up the outlandish claims. This is why I use the word VALID therapies.
My idea is to address subjects like heart disease with an expert like Dr. Louis Ignarro. He wrote a book titled No More Heart Disease and states that five supplements with diet changes can change and improve high blood pressure and heart disease! I read the book and it is simple, explained very well for lay people but most important of all – it works. I have two friends who lowered their blood pressure using this book! One is completely off of his blood pressure medication, the other happens to be a diabetic whose blood pressure started to come down in two weeks after starting this program. How impressive is that? I forgot to mention that Dr. Ignarro was awarded the Nobel Prize for his research in this area. He is one of the many brilliant people who have valuable information for helping people with their physical condition. These are the things that I would like to promote. There is such a wealth of valuable and proven information out there, these need to be promoted broadly. This is what I would like to do. By the way if you are interested here is Dr. Ignarro’s website http://www.drignarro.com/
So, that is my world right now. Kayla is doing well. She told me yesterday that her memory is starting to come back, then she recited a telephone number she had memorized. This is such a huge step forward. She thinks that now with no chemo this will get better and better. I agree.
Here is the link to my audition for the show. http://myown.oprah.com/audition/index.html?request=add_video&entity_id=204205823 The green vote button is on the bottom of the video on the left hand side. Please vote! It is my belief that this concept is very different and important.
Thanks So Much.
